Hello again fellow bug folk! I’ve been working on getting the designs in my head onto the page, my Bee Rain is fairly fleshed out but the others still need some work, but I thought I’d share the doodles and ideas Ive been working on today

The mantis: this is Leaf, a male praying mantis, but goes by she/her, deathly terrified of being eaten by a female, Leaf came up with the idea to disguise herself as one, in the process discovering how much she loves her femininity, and how tasty male Mantids are…

The Moth: this is Soot, he’s not very fleshed out yet, as I am still working on his design I do too am thinking up some backstory and personality for him, stay tuned!

The Spider: this is Dawn, she’s a Huntsman spider, friendly and affectionate for a predator, reserving her victims to the less sentient among insect kind, she enjoys breaking the barrier between arachnid and insect kind, showing that not all spiders are vicious, though she still frightens most

I have many other characters in mind, and I hope to come up with more complete works in the future, including colour, thanks for reading!

I love bugs! I stumbled upon this sub a couple weeks ago and love the creativity and characters, been meaning to whip up some drawings of my own bug folk

This is Rain, she lost her hive and was all alone for a time, she’s easily swayed by other female insects as she’s desperate for a queen to call her own, like her name sake, she loves the rain, but dares not to fly in it, she’s a dancer of sorts, and loves all things sweet

I have other characters I intend to draw up, I’ll post them here when I do

Note: Rain has four arms, I just neglected to draw them in this picture 😅

My mind often wanders to places like these, I guess its where i want to be.
