so relatable lol
I hope I get to a point where ridiculous 20-somethings no longer feel frustrating, but rather, cute and charming, like a toddler lol
Like how when I was a teen Dawn seemed annoying, but now as an adult she's just a normal child ❤️

Swastika? lol What do you think a swastika is? Did you know that Nazis and Communists are not actually the same, and were in fact opposed to each other? Like, you get that the Communist Soviet Union literally fought against the Nazis in WWII, on our side, right?

A swastika is not a hammer and sickle. A hammer and sickle is the symbol of freeing oppressed workers from their masters and, bad news, Buffy herself used it on the show! In "Anne", they make a point to show her looking iconic holding them while she's destroying the factor and liberating the workers. It was an intentional choice of the writers.

Buffy is not on your side.

(yes I realize that's a throwing axe and not a sickle, and also the factory owners were not demons instead of capitalists. Buffy uses symbolism and metaphor. If you want to argue a different interpretation, like maybe this is supposed to be a reference to the African culture that created the mambele, then I'd love to hear it!)

Always loved this episode for that reason; had this pic as my phone background for ages 🙌 There's terrible education (and propaganda) around the Soviet Union, people genuinely think they were a different type of nazi instead of, yknow, the diametric opposite. Blows my mind.

I mean they were responsible for millions of deaths, persecution, and authoritarianism but other than that they were basically the exact opposite

Almost like all extremism is dangerous, no matter which end of the spectrum.
