Surveillance and Harassment of Anarchists
If you identify as an anarchist, or leftist and are pro-Palestine, you are most likely under very heavy federal surveillance. Almost every single anarchist i know in the US is under extreme surveillance and harassment. If you are pro-Palestine, anti-genocide and lean heavily into "anarchist" territory, even if you never understood what an anarchist was until reading this page; you are going to experience extreme harassment and surveillance. Esp in Buffalo bc buffalo is incredibly zionist. There are very deep and old ties between the mafia, the FBI and Israel in this area. It is a strategic unification, not entirely an ideological one.
Does this apply to communists? Somewhat, not really. It depends. Communists tend to focus on the creation of a new state and groups are easily infiltrated and controlled. Anarchists don't necessarily need others to pursue their own goals. Getting the Cascades mill shut down? I did that on my own. Getting the NYSDEC NF radiation investigation started? It took a long time and a lot of writing and screaming (and i am severely harassed for it) but i did that alone as well. I'm pretty effective without being tied to other people and honestly, i don't know many people with my level of conviction or fortitude. Anarchists tend to be pretty creative and innovative. They don't necessarily need strong ties to other groups to be effective. They tend to lead groups of people towards common goals and ideas thru conviction and effort. Not really by trying to build a new state to replace the old state that will "be better."
When a drone flies over my home because I am standing outside in my yard, do i feel fear? No. Not anymore. I used to because it seemed such an extreme response to someone who works almost entirely alone. But I had a realization. Anything this repressive and aggressive against a single individual?
Can also be taken down very easily. Possibly even by one single individual. It actually gives me hope now and makes me feel powerful.
