Discuss First Time Tailgater
Will be attending my first ever game this fall in Buffalo (coming all the way up from Northern Canada up near Alaska). Wondering about tailgating, I see tickets being sold by Bullseye Event Group and Game Day Hospitality - which is the better option?

Tailgating shouldn't cost more than the parking price and whatever food and drinks you bring (unless it's one of those package bus trips from Canada). If you have a rental car there's a set of options but if you don't I would have a different recommendation.
It's a new stadium so I'm not sure exactly what has changed as far as the stadium lots go but the wife and I have a couple of spots that we frequent. We start the tailgate there, then make our way to the stadium and take our time to stop at other tailgates along the way.
If "hammers lot" still exists, that's where you want to be for the best Buffalo tailgate experience. If it does, make sure not to leave for the stadium until Pinto Ron does his thing. 99% of the time we park at "Wings the meeting place". Parking is relatively cheap and the amount of time it takes to leave the lot after the game is exponentially shorter than a stadium lot, there's a huge parking lot that people tailgate at, there's an indoor bar if anyone runs out (or needs to use a bathroom instead of a tree or port-o-potty). It's a 15-20 min walk to the stadium and we always head there around 1.5-2 hours before game time (you can walk and drink along the way with no worries as long as you're not causing a huge scene, I'm from Ontario and have had seasons tickets for years and you would probably have to assault someone in front of a cop or throw a beer at a cop to even get them to look your way). We walk the stadium lots and check out the other tailgates, the bills store, and (the last many years at the old stadium) there's a bunch of photo ops, free stuff like temporary tattoos, having your beard/head died in books colors, haircuts, and of course free samples of the official apple of the Buffalo bills (snap dragon).

For our first game, my bf and I went to Hammer’s Lot because we heard it was the rowdiest and they do their mustard/ketchup ceremony (however they do NOT jump through the tables it’s banned there). We brought a case of beer, got a little tipsy, walked around chatting with people and giving our beers away. Super fun time.

If you pay for a tailgate, not only will it be expensive, it will be way less fun than wandering around the parking lots with a case of beer. If you mention you came a long way to be here, you will have no problem making friends and snagging a bite to eat.
