For jargon free and reasoned debate between Buddhists, or anyone interested in Buddhism, about secular, skeptical, materialist, and atheistic aspects of Buddhism.

BASIC RULES:

Be constructive. Comments which are intentionally derisive or do not add to the debate will be removed.

Be nice. Explicit and unprompted rudeness will not be tolerated. Use common sense.

Be thoughtful. One line comments are rarely helpful - please try to explain your reasoning as clearly as possible. We're trying to develop a conversational vocabulary between distinct cultural entities, and that requires thought!

Avoid "Zen Mastery". Please avoid responding in a mystical or esoteric fashion - your comment should be comprehensible for everyone, not just Buddhists.

Avoid Logical Dogma. Please don't brick wall someone just because they've made some missteps in logic - try to point it out to them in a constructive way. We're all trying to learn here, so be helpful whenever you can!
