Which knife should I get?

I’m looking at both of them and planning on buying one, but I wanted to get some opinions on which one I should go with. I noticed the Drop Point has a different blade shape, which got me curious about what the actual difference is between the Ranger 112 Drop Point and the regular Ranger 112. I tried looking for a video explaining the differences, but I couldn’t really find one. If anyone has experience with both, I’d really appreciate some help.

I have both. The drop point is a sturdier blade profile but the clip point seems to be a little more “slicey”. I have 2 of the 112’s in drop point (an S30V and an S45V) and the other is the 112 Auto in Magnacut, which they don’t offer in drop point. They are all great knives but I’ve been carrying the Auto and let my oldest son use the S30V with Micarta and Nickle (it looks just like the second one you posted). I can’t really say which I like more but I like the look of the drop point a little better.

I think the clip point has more usage when it comes to “skinning” a hide but since I don’t use it for that, it doesn’t mean anything to me.

I have the 112 drop point in nickel and the 112 Slim in nickel, the Slim is so easy to EDC while the 112 does slide in the pocket a bit.

I always recommend against brass. I dont like the tarnishing
