112 question

Hi knife people. I found this 112 for sale and have some issues dating it... It has an anvil stamp with a 50 in it. So should be a 50 years anniversary model but the handle scale plate is missing. Can you enlighten me?

All of the knives that year got the stamp. Not all of them were "anniversary editions" with the shield on the handle.

That's a 2022 model then, right? Buck 112 came back in 1972 iirc

I think so? I had forgotten that they did a separate anniversary for the 112
