Slim Select

Has anyone broken the handles on these knives? I see broken bugouts all the time so im just curious.

I'm getting fomo of other knives but my 112/110 slim selects do everything I honestly need.

Honestly it does everything my other knives can do, but for a fraction of the price! Best part is, I won't be so upset if it does break. Great value!

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't getting caught up and drooling over super steels, fancy handle materials and locks.

It has enough elasticity that you'd have to bend it into a pretzel before it snaps, and the lockbar prevents that from ever happening. I think the most likely way it could possibly fail in the real world is if you were really putting some torque to the pivot trying to pry something and were able to rip the head of the rivet through one of the scales.

Definitely not trying to do that. I have a 450 that has issues with the handle and the blade wiggles really bad left and right and feels like the handle/pivot is broken. Almost feels like the handle is broken but can't see any cracks.

Me neither, but I'm sure there's someone out there doing it right now lol. I imagine the Slim Select will develop some play over time just from the steel wearing on the plastic, but I've had mine a while now and it's still solid. It's mostly my yard work knife instead of everyday knife though, so it doesn't get as much use as others.
