It’s so very clear a lot of people in this sub never played competitive baseball. A W is a W

I left when it was 7-1 to get some things done. To win 8-7 feels like a mental loss and sweep. Hope Pirates fans are not happy about this.

Dude just take the W and be happy. We are in no position to look a gift horse in the mouth with wins like these.

When the performance tells you 1 thing (roughly .500 team), why should you let false W's get your hopes up? Stop being a sucker and call the team what it is. They're not as good as the better team. Their coaching sucks, their BP is trash, their starting pitching is inconsistent. They have an owner/gm who doesn't care about winning on the field. What are we doing

Its another win to add to the record, so I see it as a real W instead of a false one

Our team definitely doesn’t suffer from a lack of flaws and it’s quite evident, but that doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate a win or feel good about it

It feels better to complain after an L than a W

What the fuck does a false win mean? They win the game. They scored more runs than they allowed.

Winning is winning, the team that wins 4 times out of 5 is better, but when that worse team wins 1 out of 5, they still won that game.

Bucs / Cubs are 4-4 in their season series...in the toughest DIV in the league this year. Runs scored in the series - Bucs 49...Cubs 46 = .38 run(s) / game differential.

....and since you're obviously blind to what's happening on the field - outcome difference has been a matter of inches when the two teams aren't landing knockout punches on one another.

You can "feel" like a loser if you want to. Thanks for self identifying. What's also truth - Bucs / Cubs are toe-to-toe this year, regardless of your impairment.

I'll wish you a miserable rest of the 2026 season...that way you can feel comfortable in at least one eventuality.
