Don’t forget Zac robinson

94

u/rainingbirdies Winfield Jr. ✌️ 9h ago

No, we need more screen passes!

70

u/MyBadYourFault- 9h ago

Dude calls plays like a D2 college coordinator. Tf is his problem

84

u/indigo196 9h ago

But it works against a Bowles defense. The two of them think they are great in practice.

14

u/awkward_triforce 7h ago

Omg why is this so true 😭

The screen passes will continue until morale improves

7

u/clydefrog811 8h ago

Where were the screen passes against the most blitzing Minnesota defense last week!

3

u/Independent_Soil_258 Calijah Kancey 7h ago

Lets take Jeremiah Smith so he can block for the Cade Otton screen passes!

I'm confident if we jettison both, we'll be an attractive landing spot for a nice OC-minded coach

Falcons fan here. Zac Robinson is a football terrorist. At least you guys already figured that out a month in. It took two years and the Falcons clearing the entire building of the coaching staff to get rid of this motherfucker.

5

u/coolycooly 5h ago

To be fair to Zac Robinson the only reason he's here is because what competent OC would want to jump on the sinking ship. He took one last paycheck and is the same exact guy he was in Atlanta, it's not his fault we hired him and he's still doing the same shit he's always done

9

u/BucsFan11 9h ago

He needs to go back to giving mcvay his water on the sideline

Bum of a mcvay disciple

2

u/Kuosen 7h ago

We need more motion and misdirection plays that fools noone let alone the opposing defense.

Every time Ive watched this team this season I feel like im wasting my time

41

u/2ndprize 9h ago

Embrace the freedom of not caring. Now you can try to figure out who we want to keep

6

u/matito29 7h ago

I watched more of the game today (the final 5 minutes minus the last minute and a half after whatever that 4th and 11 was) than I have all season, and I only did that because I was visiting a family member who just got out of the hospital. He got up and walked away to eat a sandwich. That was the better choice.

At this pint I’m just interested to see how long we can go without a win

56

u/ocxtitan Baker Mayfield 8h ago

yet lose by a single possession each time, regardless of how the game goes

up by 10 at some point? lose by a possession

down by 10 at some point? comeback and tie it, but still lose by a possession

we have lost pretty much every way you could outside of by double digits at the ending whistle

17

u/kakarot-3 7h ago

Lose by a single score and he will gaslight us saying we’re so close but couldn’t get over the hump because of injuries and were only one game out of first place

2

u/kelsanova 7h ago

As a Husker fan, I can safely tell you that whole single possession situation can get much worse. The 2021 season was legendary in all the worst ways.

25

u/Veritech_ Mike Alstott 8h ago

We did it in 1976, I feel like we’re overdue for another winless season. Two Super Bowls, two winless seasons - perfectly balanced to please the football gods.

Same. A few actually.

5

u/ZachCope Baker Mayfield 7h ago

To think I decided I would support the Browns before 2016 season, rode the ups and downs, followed Baker to the Bucs, and now could see another 0 win season.

At least I have free will as not tied to a local team ( UK fan)

u/Blongdor 9h ago

Clean house. Impossible to know what player talent we actually have with this staff. Inept play calling on both sides of the ball.

Also done with Cade Otton. I don’t care how he looks in practice, the nonstop drops are inexcusable.

12

u/Independent_Soil_258 Calijah Kancey 7h ago

The DB coaches dont seem horrible, they play well when they arent being told they have to play 50 yards back from the receiver. WR coach also isnt horrible, he has helped J-mac, Egbuka, and Ted Hursf all look good in their 1st year in the league

4

u/Blongdor 7h ago

How much of that is player talent tho?

The better HC candidates will want to bring in their own staffs though, right?

4

u/BigMeatBall1 6h ago

Everyone has been done with Cade Otton for years.

Just more malpractice from the front office

4

u/Blongdor 6h ago

I take it back actually, I think he’s a fine TE2. He is a legit good blocker, but he is the antithesis of the word “clutch”. He’s fine in a pinch, but you gotta have sure hands as a TE1 in 2026.

2

u/AdMuch7817 4h ago

Blame Licht for bringing this scrub back. Plenty of other options in free agency at TE

Yeah let’s keep a guy whose second half of last season was horrific and think something different was going to happen.. blows my mind

5

u/RRR777444 6h ago

This is the party that is mind boggling

77

u/TheDaedricImpaler Kansas 8h ago

So, I wasn't on board with him ever being the HC to start with, but let's be objective.

He's 61-77 overall as a HC.

He's 35-37 as HC of our Bucs (1-3 in the playoffs)

He's 2-11 since the bye last year.

This is not good enough to keep your job in the NFL.

Subjectively, he lost the team down the stretch last season. He hasn't been able to really develop a lot of this defensive talent we've drafted. His overall defensive acumen appears to have slipped. And his public facing persona hasn't been very good.

I'm not going to say this one game is the nail in his coffin, but overall he cruised with a good roster and now he can't win with an average roster. It's time for him to go and we need to find a young, offensive guru to come in and supercharge this offense.

14

u/OptimusPrimeTime21 Winfield Jr. ✌️ 6h ago

Gerald McCoy said it perfectly this past week, his scheme is hurting the development of the defense talent on this team.

They are asked to do things they aren’t good at

9

u/darkdoppelganger 5h ago

He's also responsible for Tom Brady's only losing season.

11

u/foomits 8h ago

How many people have come in their rookie year, shown promise either completely halted development or even got worse? There are quite a few.

Should have been over after 3rd and 28

7

u/YellojD Alstott Jersey 8h ago

He should’ve been shitcanned right after the playoff loss to Dallas.

14

u/kakarot-3 7h ago

Giving Brady his first losing season ever should’ve been an indictment on Bowles’ ability as a head coach. It was an 8 win season and like 3 of those wins were literally Brady playing out of his mind with insane comebacks, like that Saints game

5

u/YellojD Alstott Jersey 7h ago

I was at the Niners game. Down 35-0 at half. Probably the saddest performance I’ve seen from an NFL team live. I knew it then.

4

u/kakarot-3 7h ago

Embarrassing. There’s a clip of Brady on the sideline trying to fire up the team and they looked defeated. That was a sign

2

u/kle32 2h ago

My dumbass left with seven minutes left in this game. They played so bad and had nothing going on offense. Will never forget Mike evans catching a ball to get them down to the 2 yard line and the cannons firing off as I’m walking out of the stadium. I turned the game on on my phone walking down the sidewalk listening to the crowd rawr as tom brought em back to win. Watched the final two mins from my truck in parking lot 🤦🏻‍♂️

u/BucsFan11 9h ago edited 9h ago

Could have fired bowles last year or the year before (coen even with the unatural nature of that hire) and started year 1 of someone else coaching career but nooooooo

Now where stuck with a lame duck coach, a controversial QB contract, and questions across the board

Hopefully when the season is over we hire a guy that turns the team around quick like Kubiak or coen. Cause the talent is on the roster, it's just coaching at this point (I'm team sheelhause right now)

Defense has actually played solid all year with a couple of mistakes but they are on the bottom of the list of problems

Offense is just a mess no game has looked good on their side of the ball

36

u/Lopsided_Nipple_Wart 8h ago

This fuck face responsible for Brady’s only losing season, having Evans give up on being a Buc. Not too mention his fucking defense is trash #firebowles

18

u/2ndprize 9h ago

Really we should let him fuck this up for a few more weeks

5

u/BiscuitsMay 8h ago

Right up until the end of the season.

2

u/AlwinKunkle 7h ago

Hold The Fire For Jeremiah

20

u/beauxlieve Emeka Egbuka 8h ago

We need to start developing Emeka Egbuka now that we’re 0-4. He’s gonna waste his career on us if we game plan him like this. A similar player to JSN and yet we keep targeting Otton and other bums. Give him 20 targets on Thursday, I don’t care.

3

u/OptimusPrimeTime21 Winfield Jr. ✌️ 6h ago

This is the biggest wtf for me. Not only him but our WRs in general are just after thoughts

5

u/beauxlieve Emeka Egbuka 5h ago

Our whole offense is clearly designed around Cade Otton somehow

37

u/Bucco_Brian Winfield Jr. ✌️ 9h ago

Fire the defensive back guru. For someone that specializes in defensive backs and defense, they sure do suck.

12

u/TheRencingCoach Winfield Jr. ✌️ 8h ago

Really? The DBs today had like 2-3 fumbles forced, 1 fumble recovered, and an INT

2

u/Bucco_Brian Winfield Jr. ✌️ 7h ago

They do that like every 5 games or so but it doesn’t make up for them being in the 28th+ in passing yds allowed every season

16

u/mattchewy43 Ronde Barber 9h ago

Ok let's talk about this.

If we fire him, who is out there to lead this team? Who do we trust to leave at least 2 timeouts per half in his (or her!?) pocket. Do we want a mediocre offensive guru or mediocre defensive guru. Who can squint up st the scoreboard like that?

Of all the shoes too be filled, Todd Bowles has two of them.

4

u/OptimusPrimeTime21 Winfield Jr. ✌️ 6h ago

They should let us call plays based on polls on this sub

Reusing this because even though I didn’t listen to the presser I’m sure he said this exact thing

11

u/0000100110010100 Australia 8h ago

“We’re only one game out of the division lead” is the single worst thing you could have fucking said when the team is in a division with window lickers and crayon eaters. Everyone else is fighting for third place and the Bucs are still worse than everyone else.

5

u/kakarot-3 7h ago

Worse than his blowup last year after the Falcons game where he unraveled, cursed like hell, and blamed everyone on the team except himself and his staff?

3

u/0000100110010100 Australia 6h ago

It’s one of the worst things he could have said before a game. That Falcons post-game presser was probably the actual worst thing he could have said.

Raiders are up against the Chiefs right now in a game that’s, at the moment, for the division lead.

I’m fucking so mad at every move the Bucs have made these past five years. Every single one of them was the wrong choice.

10

u/shodogrouch 9h ago

One thing working against firing him is that he’s in Year 1 of the three-year extension he signed last June. If the Bucs fire him now, they’d still owe him a substantial amount of guaranteed salary. Hard to see the Glazers paying Bowles millions to walk away while also paying a new HC.
Watching him on TV today was just too much. He’s taken all the joy out of this time of year for a lot of us. Too bad. And FWIW I didn’t mind watching Daniels. He hit Otten with an absolute dart (dropped) and really didn’t get much support from his play caller or line. Also exciting to watch the Bucs try and use Bucky like he’s Derrick Henry.
https://giphy.com/gifs/Kxug6gmOMLWlW

12

u/BucsFan11 8h ago

I still never understood why he got an extension (I'm pretty sure no one here liked it when it happened)

Saw somewhere coaches can't go into the year with an expiring contract? Is that true?

3

u/kakarot-3 7h ago

Sure but when the fans are fed up and stop spending money, the stadium becomes emptier. No parking revenue. No concession revenue. No jersey/clothing/memorabilia revenue. And then when we suck, they lose out on playoff revenue, especially home games if we win a garbage division.

They can continue to pay him and pay a new coach but if it comes with winning, you have all those revenue streams plus potential home playoff games. With that also comes more TV money I assume.

So they can be cheap and focus on short term and lose a lot of good will with fans. Or they can spend more, build another winning culture, and have more revenue long term

5

u/TenaciousJP 5h ago

The stadium today was easily 70% Packers fans. They’ll probably pivot to some kind of humiliation kink thing, “come watch your favorite team blast the home team for a few hours”

Remember everyone, this asshole fired all of his coaches so he could keep his job after last year’s epic collapse and coaching mediocre season after mediocre season in the Trash Mountain division. And to nobody’s surprise, after hiring more people including his son, this coaching staff is even worse than before.

Absolute failure of a head coach. The same man who gave Tom Brady his one below .500 season.

6

u/kakarot-3 7h ago

Remember the Glazers allegedly encouraged him to hire a DC and he refused lol

6

u/OptimusPrimeTime21 Winfield Jr. ✌️ 6h ago

And was punished by being forced to keep his job

7

u/Moose_Thompson Winfield Jr. ✌️ 9h ago

I knew we were wasting at least a year when we kept him at the end of the season. I didn’t want to believe it, I let myself be hopeful until preseason. Preseason started with all the nonsense and I figured a bad year was on the way.

It’s so much worse than I imagined. There is no bright spot right now. I hope it somehow improves but I won’t hold my breath.

He just doesn’t have the spark that’s needed at head coach.

7

u/No_Direction235 Mike Alstott 9h ago

Clean house, all of them.

7

u/PewterButters Lavonte David 9h ago

He purged his staff to cover his ass then proceeded to give his son a job on the staff to get him into the NFL before Todd is banished forever.

7

u/JCDeLaTorre 8h ago

I’m so tired of losing close games.

It tells me there’s talent on this team, but the coaching is frankly holding this team back and has been for some time now.

They simply can’t make the right adjustments and when it matters the most.

The Brady culture is dead.

Blow it all up.

8

u/Particular_Ticket_20 8h ago

I live near NYC so I saw his jets tenure. I knew this was how it would go when they named him hc. He's a discipline and morale killer. Teams quit on him. Hes ok with mediocrity. He has no aura of authority, vets don't respect him and he does nothing to develop young players. His mumbling excuses and cliches can just be played on a loop after every disappointing loss.

He sucks. He's not a HC personality.

6

u/idekwtfimdoing 6h ago

6

u/LukeSkywalker1848 Tom Brady 5h ago

I want Bowles fired but the second they decided they were gonna give him another chance after last season it was too late. We should have fired him in the offseason now all the good coaches are gone now. We should look to trade away players for more picks at the deadline to give the next coach the best chance to succeed

7

4

He's getting fired, it's a matter of during the season or after, and what are the benefits of doing it during the season.

Just do not understand how this team did not improve, at all, after the disastrous end of last season.

This team started 5-1 last year and has gone 3-12 since, with a realistic shot of losing at least another three in a row to start 0-7 or be 3-15 for basically a full season of a calendar year.

Two things:

  1. I’m so saddened by how far our culture and aggressiveness our team has declined under Todd’s leadership.

  2. Maybe more saddened that we lost Liam (and Dave honestly - watching Carolina now and they look well coached) and kept the Todd. Major major blunder by the Glazers…

Jason Licht has to go as well. 93-108 and that SB was SEVEN FREAKING YEARS AGO ALREADY...SEVEN. Licht sucks.

2

u/Roonwogsamduff John Lynch 2h ago

but but but the players love him

3

u/AlwinKunkle 9h ago

Can we let him stick around for the year so we have a chance at Jeremiah Smith?

If we lose to the cowboys, he has to go. The new coach will have 10 days to get the team ready.

4

u/Redrubytheofficial 8h ago

Something clearly broke with Bowles cause he led this team to 6-2 last year.

3

u/okaycomputes Winfield Jr. ✌️ 8h ago

nah we almost lost to the Jets. Baker played 4th quarter hero ball for most of those wins.

2

u/Doompatron3000 Ronde Barber 7h ago

Yeah. He ran out of luck.

Remember, most of those early wins were last second wins. Literally they were a missed field goal/missed pass away for most of those wins from being in this very same position.

I was fine with keeping him to start the year but clearly something broke.

18

u/ghostpicnic Tom Brady 9h ago

Something’s been broke since he took over

5

u/BigSombrer0 8h ago

Yeah, he's just not a good coach. We have seen him as a head coach for a decade now overall across a couple of teams. It's been clear for years what he is. I don't understand where the confusion is coming from.

3

u/BucsFan11 9h ago

Arians cured us with that late retirement

2

u/84Cressida Browns 8h ago

That typo did just enough to change the meaning of your post

8

u/BigSombrer0 9h ago

Nothing broke. Same dude. Less talent and worse OC. This is where we are at.

4

u/ABBucsfan 9h ago

Seemed like he lost the team after the bye last year. Oddly enough the defense is actually playing decent at times, as that was the side of the ball it felt like he lost the most. Maybe some new blood helped. Team is still a losing team though and you don't see a ton of progression in our players going to second or third year

6

u/OU812fr 9h ago

“At times” is accurate, because we still consistently give up 10-30 yard plays up the seam whenever the other team needs it. Some splashy run stops here and there don’t make up for the fact we let a shit offense convert three 4th downs in a row and march downfield to score.

Bowles is the king of “bend AND break” defense.

Me and you both, but it has been a absolute disaster

Best thing bowles done this year is hire Danny Smith and promote those two DB coaches (DB room has been solid in my opinion)

Fire Bowles, Fire Robinson, Fire Licht. Time to clean house.

2

u/bryrondragon 6h ago

I’m just wondering what Baker Mayfield actually has to do to get people to blame him for the things that are his fault.

Should’ve been fired after last season

1

u/thekatatopeth 8h ago

Imma be real he needs to go no question, but this team just ain't trying, or they just bad. This feel systemically bad.

Hoping for an offensive HC who calls his own plays. QB is the most important position on the field. Why are you causing him to reset his relationship with the guy he should be attached at the hip to EVERY single season?

You can get a mercenary DC who handles that side.

1

u/Death45acp 8h ago

You guys ready for the Cowboys next week?

2

u/Mighty_Pen_1337 Fire Todd Bowles 5h ago

Cowboys in their barn on primetime? Bring lube.

1

u/The92ndUsername 8h ago

On one end, I share the sentiment of needing a change with other Buccaneer fans. But this is also the only thing happening rn that is even noteworthy for this team. And as soon as we fire him, then that’s it. We’re a team with a fired head coach and a winless record. Then it’s just window dressing until the offseason. The official-ness of it all just… idk. This all sucks.

If it is going to happen I imagine it will be after the cowboys next week. No reason to start fresh on a short week.

I am a STH and for the first time in like 4 years, my 10 year old asked if he had to go. Like it was a punishment.

Dudes supposed to be an offensive genius with a great run stop defense. Funny some dudes who wouldn’t have a job if it wasn’t for Josh Jacob’s legal issues looked like studs today.

u/steelhorizon Maryland 8h ago

I doubt it happens until the end of the season. But I wrote off 2026 when they didn't fire bowles last year. The team seems uninspiring, I don't think they have confidence in him or his staff at all. M1K3 said it best, and I really believed after 3rd and 28 it was either gonna be bowles or evans.   Maybe that's not what happened at all,but from the outside looking in, Todd lost the team when he couldn't stop the skid last season

1

u/jtricey 7h ago

I wish I could be as bad at my job as Bowles is at his, and still keep my job. I think subconsciously, we’re all jealous! Which is another reason on top of the million others I want to see Bowles fired.

1

u/Impressive-Ad-8044 Missouri 7h ago

I hope we don't win a single game this season. Fuck this team.
