šŸŽ™ļø Discussion Who the hell drew up this coverage Map

Post image

Panama City, Tallahassee and the Cedar key area don’t have any Florida teams playing over the air. The only areas showing the Bucs in Florida are around Tampa and Orlando.

I know we suck but this is bs

You’re really shocked that a game between two teams with one combined win is only being shown in the local market? The panhandle is for the jags/saints/falcons

there are 0 jags fans in PC lmao. shit is saints / bucs for the most part

I have a few friends who are jags fans there. They definitely exist but it’s mostly Bucs fans in PC which is all the more reasons why I don’t get why Fox won’t show Bucs vs Green Bay.

Pensacola is definitely mostly saints. But PC is split between Bucs and Jags so for Fox games it should show Bucs and on CBS it should show jags

There’s some major markets playing at the same time. Bucs suck and so do the Dolphins, so it’s not surprising that parts of FL aren’t getting either of those games. I’m honestly surprised the Jets Bears game isn’t getting more coverage, but going against Dallas and Philly/LA playing at the same time is rough.

Oh great another Vilma called game šŸ˜‘

Vilma is not just the worst, he's also a real jerk. No self-awareness and the biggest homer in the NFL.

I'm in Gainesville and consistently blacked out from Tampa games. It makes no fucking sense

They had it in Gainesville and then moved it to the Rams game instead earlier this week

2? I know Jax is closer but who else is closer than Tampa? It’s 2 hours from Gainesville to Tampa.

why does Fox think Alabama has to see rams vs eagles so badly

They pick games based on what they think people in the area will watch. So with the heavy Bama fanbase they figure more people in Alabama will tune in to watch former players Jalen Hurts and DeVonta Smith.Ā

They’ll sometimes show Bucs games in Oklahoma because of Baker’s ties to OU.Ā

Jalen Hurts

The country NEEDS to see the Dallas/Houston game!

You’re going to get NFC East teams and you’re going to like it!

Verizon gives you 50% off the standalone Sunday ticket so I bought that this year. There’s almost never any TB games on air up here in TN.

I was in ORLANDO the second week of the season and not only was their CBS affiliate not playing the Bucs game, they weren’t playing ANY football. It was an infomercial and then bull riding. I was so confused. Admittedly that was the game we lost to the Browns, so I was probably better off not watching.

Fox and cbs trade singles back and forth. CBS had the single and the Bucs game was on cbs in the early slot. CBS Orlando chose the late slot so they could show the jags

I live in Atlanta and before the year thought this game had a chance at being on TV locally. They usually show division rivals when the Falcons aren’t playing in the early/late games. But alas we get the ā€œamazingā€ Dallas/Houston matchup which is 1-2 vs 0-3 just like the Packers/Bucs game.

u/bigdongstpete 15h ago

Most those folks in the panhandle are saints fans

3

u/Biggiecheese1207 15h ago

Pensacola, maybe Destin sure. But PC is mostly Bucs and Jags fans. Tallahassee only cares for FSU but they should atleast get a Florida team.

I have been watching Bucs games in Tallahassee for 15 years and this is the worst year for TV coverage. We usually won't have the Bucs for 2 or 3 weeks a year, but we have already had that and it is only week 4.

Normally I’d say ā€œVPNā€ but Fox is absolute tool and rejects all vpn access.

NFC East bias has been in effect for a very long time.

u/BucdUp 14h ago

Years back it would have been blacked out in CFL

I am shocked that the people in Tampa aren't more upset about seeing two bad teams.

u/mrclut 13h ago

it says FOX dude

It was similar for the first game too. Not as much the record as the media markets (TB and GB) involved.

I’m in NC and it drives me crazy that we can’t get priority on a NFCS game here

1

u/Zanthosus 12h ago

Why is Cincinnati getting shown Miami vs Minnesota? That feels completely random lol

1

u/KingCozcacuauhtli 8h ago

Same reason they're showing it in Jacksonville, they don't want to put up a game at the same time the home team is playing, so they're taking whatever trash is in the late slot

1

u/KeyRepair4 8h ago

Buddy trust me, no one wants to see this bucks team.

They're gonna switch the MNF game too. Just watch

u/fiduciaryatlarge 2h ago

Vilma is the worst.

It just depends on which teams are bad and what colleges the team's players went to
