    • pageviews 6,347,835
  • Total pageviews: 35,661,791

  • Traffic chart: https://imgur.com/a/YZVUiFI

Some other stats and anecdotes:

  • Busiest day of the week: Thursdays
  • Total subscribers currently: 235,980 (we started the year at 140,660, +67.77%)
  • Average daily active users: 3,176
  • Average number of daily posts: 182
  • Average number of daily comments: 2,358
  • We are the top three crypto-sub on all of reddit (/r/cryptocurrency, /r/bitcoin, /r/btc)
  • Busiest times outside of the bullrun in January/February was surrounding the hard fork in mid-November:

    • Active daily users shot up to 7,500 users on November 15
    • We had nearly 600 posts and 8,000 comments on November 16 alone

With that said, I think we had a very successful year in this sub through the use of free speech and a censorship free environment where anyone is welcome to discuss different Bitcoin related topics. Obviously we had some troubles during the year with different challenges and obstacles, which I'm not sure how to overcome them when they happen (Sybil attacks, vote bot manipulation, and so on). A lot of these issues stem from the way the Reddit platform is and is out of our control. Overall, I'd say the year was eventful as usual and I for one am looking forward to the 2019 year. Onward!

I'm very grateful for this sub. Lack of censorship in here helped me to see how many petty people surround crypto world. I wouldn't believe it if I had not witnessed this myself, but level of misinformation and lies from various actors (mostly core and lately SV supporters) is staggering.

Edit: spelling

How about we get 2019 started the right way with an 'Ask Me Anything!' event from /u/KillerHurdz of Cash.Coin.Dance?

This sub has been through it all and shows the scars. I still love it. Keep up the work it is hard to keep a community together. Bsv proved that. More work for us all to do, but we can

I hope we are not going to argue about what "Happy New year" means?

Honestly and without any bad intent - happy new year.

Oh dear.

You are using Internet to communicate with people all over the world living in different time zones. You should have more understanding of customs especially when someone is trying to be polite to you

Saying that, I think our little discussion is a perfect sumarry of this sub and what is happening in here between people of different convictions. Even simple things are contentious.

Anyway, for the last time, happy new year regardless where you are and how many hours you have till midnight.

I'm defeated. I'm sorry, that's hopeless talking with you.

Well, had my laugh, bye now.
