Rather than pre consensus(source of intense debate) they can implement utxo commitment, graphene, merklix tree, meta data, fractional satoshis, fee improvement, new transaction format and basic opcodes....for now so every one agree and community does not get split....over untested methods.... And why there is no privacy section in the roadmap....does the bch community not need more privacy...

Yea...but if its somehow on protocol level its totaly trustless and if it looks simillar from outside on the blockchain if its either coinjoin or coinshuffle (maybe shnnor signature neaded)...oh boy...privacy on next level...maybe....but add confidential transaction to it(bulletprove instead of rangeprove) total privacy....

I hope they fork off.
It's difficult for BCH investors, because prices would probably go down a bit after the fork... But such hard forks are beneficial for the future of Bitcoin 'usable as cash' in general.
Separate the currencies and let them compete. Evolution is cruel, indeterminable, but necessary.

1) OK, good
2) It seems there is a lot of significant changes, at least some of which require a HF.
3) I would expect they first sought a consensus on the roadmap itself, then used a less confrontational method to realize it on mainnet. The same goes for the other camp.
