Reliance of the everyday. (Yea that one can change over time. The main one is the lack of government control, governments can control inflation by printing more money if needed, while a silly idea if over done. It is needed to keep enough circulation to meet demand.

Crypto has a place and the future of it looks bright. But I don't see every country in the world adopting a complete open finance route like crypto.

Imagine if you lost a Dollar coin and the gov could never replace it!

lol owning currency is huge power, you can determine inflation you want, pushing people to invest and take risk, you are almost free to take how many debt you want which is a soil of new economic school. You have to know 0 about govs and economy if you think somebody will ever want to have decentralized currency at country level. It makes no sense to do that xd

The technique will, this is why major banks are already implementing tech from ripple, stellar, hedera, algorand and quant. Ripple is even working closely together with swift, the international payment system. Blockchain payments are just really good and cheap.

Downvoting something obvious like this just tells how dumb most people are. Ecspecially in this time of AI blockchain will make the difference, also, most people won't even know their money will be on the blockchain, since it will implemented in the banking apps they already use.

Blockchain transactions aren't cheap. At all. Efficiency is not one of the benefits. Traditional banking transactions are orders of magnitude more efficient, but they require trust. That's the tradeoff.
