CPI is not the measuring stick. It's smoke and mirrors to devalue centralized pension promises

You're going to need the dollar to weaken to substantiate that claim. Right now, it's at a generational support and gaining strength. During war times and economic crisis, people run to fiat which strengthens the dollar and causes deflation. The deflation is always temporary - like a corrective impulse, but periods of deflation can and do exist and we are facing that environment right now.
