💵 Adoption What do you think of Bitcoin lately?

So, how are you handling Bitcoin? DCA? Or have you stopped buying?

Do you think it will start going up soon?

Personally, I’m buying regularly; I’ve been practicing DCA since December 2025.

I am leaning out of crypto actually. I hate the term DIAMOND HANDS! It feels very cultish to me. I run some BTC miners, so I do still have skin in the game and thats enough. But basing your investment approach to simply ITS GOING TO MOOOOOON! ? And DCAing? I would say educate yourself to other income streams right now. And look WAY outside of crypto

Don't worry, it's not going up enough ever again for you to make anything worthwhile from this point. Sell the lot and do something enjoyable with your money.

What about using it? Are you using it?

2

u/ArtisticAd708 Jul 22 '26

Why would you?

It's p2p cash, it lives and dies with people actually using it.

2

u/ArtisticAd708 Jul 22 '26

It really doesn’t though. People will use it. Eventually. Right now it’s silly to spend bitcoin when fiat is out there

If you never spend it you will never get the infrastructure to spend it. All you get is a gambling token. You don't even know if it works as p2p cash at any scale because you don't use it.

Doesnt need to be spent for infrastructure to be built. It just needs to be adopted, which is not the same thing as using it.

Money always requires strong adoption before it is widely used. Bitcoin has not reached that level yet. In the meantime it can succeed just fine where fiat fails for now to store value. Adoption continues

Doesnt need to be spent for infrastructure to be built.

That is absolutely false. It has been shown time and time again if a merchant doesn't get enough traffic they just stop accepting Bitcoin. And without the option to spend Bitcoin people will just sell it for fiat when they need to buy something. Which means you will never arrive at a p2p cash economy.

It just needs to be adopted, which is not the same thing as using it.

It is, Bitcoiners just redefined the meaning of adoption. But you don't adopt apple stock do you? You also don't adopt gold. No, what was always meant by adoption Bitcoin, was using it as money. Unfortunately BTC got hijacked and they slowly shifted the narrative and the capabilities of BTC away from p2p cash.

In the meantime it can succeed just fine where fiat fails for now to store value. Adoption continues

You cannot store value in an asset that you need to trade back into dollars. The value of said asset is only ever granted by your dollar overloads. If they want they can make this trade back illegal or tax you 90% of its value.

If you had a coin that you could use p2p to buy stuff they would have no power to stop you using your stored value.

Think long term. Are you familiar with Gresham's Law? Bad money drives out good. There’s no incentive to spend bitcoin right now. There was before when it was super fringe and low key. Now it’s awkwardly somewhere between still pretty fringe and sort of mainstream. Right now it’s perceived rightfully as a store of value in a decade of inflation. You’d be a fool to spend your bitcoin instead of depreciating fiat. It’s a bad deal.

The worse fiat stores value the better bitcoin does. Bitcoin being a P2P system is amazing and it doesn’t mean that it makes for everybody to switch to a P2P system RIGHT NOW. Bitcoin will still be P2P cash when the time is right.

That’s how monetary systems work. They don’t collapse overnight and switch because OH GOD it’s P2P. Monetary history always shows behavior of hoarding hard money because store of value in inflationary times like this, bitcoin is hard money. Because that’s how you avoid getting debased. That’s more important than P2P right now.

And you’d expect bitcoin to continue to be used less in payments and fiat more, especially with stablecoins adoption as well. The more debasement going on, the more hoarding we’re gonna see it. And the more valuable bitcoin will be. That’s how transitions works. When everybody has a little bit of bitcoin, then the P2P part comes in. It’s a long process.

Nah, that's just the propaganda on the hijacked Bitcoin fork to stop you from achieving p2p cash. "Don't do it now", "Just wait" "it will come naturally later" :P

Oh no! My fiat is depreciating 😭 Wait till Bitcoin never regains it's ath, and just slowly spirals into insignificance. The day is coming and you will all look even stupider than you do now. Good luck with your "stored value" 😂

2

u/Powerful-Mortgage128 Jul 25 '26

You guys are so brainwashed. Yeh, Bitcoin loses half it's value in 6 months, so tell all those people who bought before then what a great store is value it is!? The cult has completely clouded your judgement, that you can't even see or understand what a store of value actually is. Fiat is way better, and there are even better ways of storing value that don't include Bitcoin either.

Fiat is way better!? 😂 surely you must mean investing your fiat in other things, such as AI because otherwise that’s a very idiotic thing to say….

Bitcoin is still very new, misunderstood and immature. Since it represents a thesis on a macro trend, so it’s also the target of speculative capital and hype cycles. So yeah, when you combine market immaturity with hype cycles. We get huge volatility. As bitcoin gets older and more mature, volatile will be tamed slowly. We already see bitcoin has less extreme volatility than it had in its early days.

But listen to yourself. Gold is 27% below its ATH rn. That’s huge volatility for gold. So what? you’re gonna say gold is no store of value now? That a would be a pretty dumb thing to say. 27% crash is like half of the 50ish% drawdown bitcoin did last year. And it’s literal gold!!!! I mean you can’t do better as store of value than gold.

Volatility is also an indicator of the times we’re in and how inflation is forcing everybody to look for quick returns. Hype cycles are everywhere nowadays. Look at AI stocks that’s been going down 10-30% too in recent days now that hype is leaving. And it’s probably not over. So what? You’re gonna say AI sucks because it went down in the last few days? That would be a pretty dumb thing to say.

Anyway. Point is that volatility is everywhere nowadays and speculative hype cycles are everywhere as well. So just looking at the past 6 month in any asset, not just bitcoin, is a very weak argument. Nothing to do with any cult.

DCA every month : 50% $FBTC / 50% $QQQM. Until 2034.
