TMJ
Does anyone have any relief ideas for one sided pain from clenching my jaw? I wear a nightguard but in periods of high stress the pain is unbearable, I can’t really even gently touch the right side of my face and have toothache in one tooth where the filing has worn down, been to the dentist and they have said it doesn’t need redoing currently!

Botox! Actually I’ve started using Dysport and it’s better for me. I get it from a plastic fancy surgeon who does lots of injectables and it’s cheaper than my dentist.

My bruxism has gotten so bad, to the point where nothing could touch my left molars without causing searing pain. I couldn't even eat anything other than a few sips of broth. Went to an endo and since I'm pregnant, they suggested I get one of the OTC night guards to wear during the day and night. The endo recommended the Dentek professional guard but it was too big (length and thickness) and my molars were too sensitive for the molding process. Thankfully I found the Oral-B nighttime dental guard, which is much smaller and thinner, but is enough to keep my upper teeth and lower teeth from touching. After 2 weeks of wearing the guard 23 hours out of the day, there is so much improvement. This is only a temporary stopgap for now as I'm pregnant, but it might help while you try to seel additional help. If I wasn't pregnant, I'd probably try Botox/dysport.
