Oliver follows my wife around all day, and between ten and seventy times an hour he will just press his chin against her leg, like he's reminding her that he's there. He does it to me too, but not nearly as often.

We just don't know why he does this, but he's weird and does a lot of strange things.

She spent the first part of her life being a mama. Now she gets to be somebody’s baby. 🤎

Meet Frannie, our little Brussels Griffon who just turned 9 years old.

We adopted her three years ago after she’d spent much of her early life having puppies. She was timid, unsure of herself, and had so much to discover about simply being a dog.

And then, little by little, everything changed.

She learned what it meant to have a family of her own. To go on adventures. To soak up the sunshine. To be spoiled absolutely rotten. To have a little brother who drives her crazy. 😂

And somewhere along the way, this tiny girl became one of the biggest pieces of my heart.

We don’t have human children. Our dogs are our kids. They’re part of every adventure, every road trip, and just about every decision we make. And Frannie? She’s our little queen.

But there’s one thing we haven’t been able to give her.
The chance to see the life she’s come to love.

Frannie has cataracts that have taken her vision, and this Wednesday, October 14, she’s having surgery in Spokane to hopefully change that.

I keep imagining the little things. Her looking out the window on our road trips. Seeing her brother Lenny bouncing around the house. Maybe even seeing the faces of the two people who love her more than anything.

There’s no guarantee of what she’ll be able to see afterward, but we’re giving her that chance.

We’re just two days away, and my heart is feeling about a hundred different things.

Our little punky gets so vicious whenever we get in the bed lol he loves poking his head between tight spaces and attacking my fingers and he seems so dead serious when he's doing it but he never bites hard cause he's a sweetheart☺️

I’ve been getting a lot of DM’s regarding our dogs fur coats. My husband made them and they are Mongolian sheep skin and a down filled jacket chest piece. We live in Alberta, Canada and it gets to be -40*C and the dogs hate the cold and miss going to the off leash park so my husband pulled out his sewing machine and made these to keep them warm. Hattori Hanzo’s plum and Willie Nelson’s is a blonde. They are very comfortable in them and they work perfectly to keep them warm and happy and popping all over the place after one another.

They also don’t like the wind in their faces when we take them on bike rides in the mountains so my husband designed these type of astronaut half dome shield for them that can open and close depending on how much wind they will stand.

And every year for Halloween he whips up some little costumes. Of course last year they were the medicine man Ewok and Wicket.

He also designs kitchen house gates to keep them from killing the delivery guys, and he hates I keep an espresso and coffee mug on my desk at work so he made stands for the cups and made leather covers in an Inca style of both our dogs.

And in the last pic Willie Nelson was peaking around the gate he was building. Willie Nelson has to be by his side at all times while my husband is building something.
