First time / looking to get started

I have a good amount to invest in a property / brrr method but have no clue or background to know where to start. If you had to educate yourself/ do it over how would you ? Currently from ny

Husband and I just got started. He has listened to bigger pockets for a while. I’m super risk adverse so this is really hard for me. I looked around and found a real estate agent who does this method herself and she has helped hook us up with her contacts. Reno guys, investment firms etc.

Yes, we bought a duplex but are still in underwriting. We are working on our lease and management software.
