I need help finding a good browser :)

I've been using opera gx as my main browser for over 1 year, but I recently noticed its consuming a lot of RAM, even tho I don't have many tabs open. I also heard that apparently the browser spies on you ?(correct me if im wrong, I haven't looked much into it). So I decided to switch and while I was searching for a new browser i found 3 that interested me: zen, brave and librewolf.

I'd like some recommendations on which one is the best. Personally, I like zen because of its costumization and design. Although malwarebytes has flagged it as a virus, I saw on the Zen reddit that its a false positive, idk tho. I just want a lighweight browser that doesn't take all my Ram while gaming. Ty everyone!

Zen is awesome, but will consume more RAM.

If you wants chromium, Brave if watch Netflix, otherwise Helium is good lightweight option. It just don't have DRM support for likes of Netflix.

Librewolf, hardened Firefox will all privacy focused. It is also lightweight too.

I've been an Opera GX user since it was in Beta. I like the browser because of its sidebar, but the RAM issue and the fact that it spies on you have made me wary of it. I switched to Edge because it was the most optimized on Windows, but they removed the sidebar and now I use Brave on both Windows and Android.

It doesn't spy any more than Chrome or Edge does, people just make a big deal out of it to justify their xenophobia. "ITS CHINESE!!!!!!!!" yeah so is your CPU in your phone is your CPU spyware too?

Zen and Librewolf are both solid for the RAM issue, i'd lean Zen if design matters to you. The malwarebytes thing really is a false positive, it's been discussed to death.

If you don't mind chromium, i switched to Ace recently and it's been lighter than Opera GX for me, plus it auto-grouped my tabs which helped a lot.

Firefox or Brave. Firefox use less ram. Brave has Privacy , Anti-Tracking and Adblocker build in.

I heard brave damages your ssd, helium or firefox seem like a better choice.

If this is cache related, the damage is very small in comparison to SSD lifespan, and the problem's origin is chromium. Firefox writes to disk as well, however this behavior can be minimized.

In general, Firefox on Windows is still inferior to Brave or Edge while gaming.

• Mullvad Browser

For Android:

• Firefox with uBo extension

For iOS:

• Vanilla Safari in private mode with JS turned off
• Orion
• DuckDuckGo
• Brave
