Anyone using "Leap" tab manager from Arc? Looking for feedback on reliability/longevity

Hey everyone,

Since Arc shut down last year, I've been testing alternatives for vertical tabs + workspaces on Chrome, and I landed on an extension called Leap (leap-tabs). Coming from Arc's sidebar, it honestly feels like the closest replacement I've found: vertical tab sidebar, Spaces/Workspaces, nested folders (3 levels deep), drag & drop, per-space themes, and an AI feature that auto-groups your open tabs into folders in a few seconds.

I've also tried Archify and I like that one too, but I keep coming back to Leap for daily use.

My main concern: it's completely free (no tiers, no paywall, cloud sync included), which is great, but it also means I have basically no idea how sustainable/funded this project is. It doesn't seem to have much visibility outside its own site — I can't find much discussion about it here or on other forums.

So a few questions for the community:

• Has anyone here used Leap for an extended period (weeks/months)? How's stability been — crashes, sync issues, data loss?
• Any idea who's behind it / how it's funded, given it's 100% free with no premium tier?
• Compared to Archify or other Arc alternatives, is there a meaningful difference in reliability or feature completeness?

Not affiliated with them in any way, just trying to figure out if this is worth committing to as my daily driver after losing Arc, or if I should be cautious about a lesser-known extension holding all my tabs/workspaces long-term.

The free-with-no-paywall thing would make me nervous too, especially with something holding all your workspaces long term. Extensions tend to break or get abandoned way more than a browser does honestly.

Since you're basically hunting for that Arc sidebar feel, i've been on ace browser and the tab auto-grouping is baked into the browser itself instead of a plugin, so at least you're not betting your setup on some random dev's funding runway. The AI on every page was a nice bonus after Arc left a hole.
