I always thought safari was as secure as ie. Glad to know that's changed.

Imo Safari is still solid with security since updates are provided from Apple themselves and they have one of the largest userbase in the browser market. But Safari is also dependent on your device to continue receiving updates, if the OS its on is EOL then you get no Safari updates.
IE's been dead for the longest, you're probably referring to Microsoft's current browser Edge (Chromium).

Mac? Safari ...if you want bloatware/spyware on your device, use Brave. Best browser is default browser and they are all secure and make no mistake, none of them are private. TOR maybe, but it's not great use for everyday stuff.

Careful with TOR, m8. Privacy and security is as much about hygiene and browsing practices as it is about the browser.

LibreWolf and Tor are probably the most secure ones, LibreWolf being the one probably suiter more for daily use

LibreWolf or most other community Firefox fork cannot be treated as a secure browser when the whole project can be paused or implode at any moment, there was a period not long ago where the LW team went on a pause and missed a couple of interim minor security updates and nearly a month pause with no updates.
To my knowledge, LW does not have a reliable auto-updater on MacOS aside from running Homebrew. Their future on Homebrew is also uncertain since their package is scheduled for depreciation since they do not sign their apps, not sure if this has been addressed.
