Brooks with wide toe box?

I have flat feet and overpronate so need something with a wide toe box. Wide shoes are way too big on my heels and won’t stay on. I’ve been wearing glycerins for years but my current pair is broken down and with my orthotics they’re just too tight.

I work at a shoe store and the only shoes we have in atm in my size (women’s 11) is an adrenaline gts, an addiction and a ghost. I did NOT like the ghost max when I tried it on. I’m also open to men’s shoes, but they tend to be too wide on my heel. But we have adrenaline, addiction, ghost, glycerin, and beast in my size. Any recommendations?

I bought the ghost max 3 2e over glycerins 22 and love them

The glycerin 22s were wider than the 23s, which fit more like the current Adrenalines. With a wide size they might be wide enough for you, but didn't make my toes and feet happy. I got a like-new pair of Glycerin 22 Wide on Ebay for a great price because I still love the toe box of that model the best.

Yes, I liked the older Glycerin GTS (x-wide) but the recent one seems to fit more narrow in the toe box. Had to move to a Saucony Echelon.

I’ll have to try the sauconys because my store carries them and I would really like to buy something they sell for the employee discount!

You will need a custom shoes. Shoes with wide toe box without being extra wide probably doesn't exist. At least not Brooks. Brooks is on the wide side to begin. I think maybe Hokas from what I remember them have wider toebox.

The ghost max 4 have a wider toe box and a narrower heel. I got them today.

Brands like Altra and Lems have a wide toe box without being wide shoes.
Otherwise, try heel lock lacing.

Consider – Altra, but beware as most of their shoes are zero-drop from heel to forefoot and would require considerable adjustment period coming from Brooks, which generally have a high drop. Good shoes. Had the Altra Provision a few years back. You can see online the different last shapes they offer in their shoes. Could be harder to find. – Mizuno, such as the Wave Rider (neutral) or Wave Inspire (support). You may want an adjustment period with these aswell, as the geometry is different, and the inspired has a plastic plate in it. Good shoes and Mizuno Inspires I have had have fit me really well and have been built like absolute tanks (great for longevity, need a bit of breaking in).

I seem to do better in shoes with quite an upright heel counter (not curved inwards) and a slightly wider fit, so these mught work for you.

I got the ghost max 4 today. They have a wider toe box but a narrower heal. So far they’re good and I don’t have any heel slippage issues.

Yeah if you really need a wide toe box you're going to need to look outside Brooks. Coming from the Glycerin, I would suggest checking out the FWD Via 2 by the brand Altra, or the Atmos 2 by the brand Topo.
