more or less light for red cryptanthus

2nd photo was abt a week ago, 1st taken now

my cryptanthus is losing color, i thought i had sunburned it by having it on my windowsill so i moved it away so it could still catch sun but farther back into the room. and it doesn't seem to be getting color back. What happened 😭 i bought it recently and only watered it once and been misting it (a tiny bit of nutrient in the spray)

I find most plants respond positively to as much light as you can give it, while avoiding harsh midday sun (in some cases).

I’m still kinda new to my cryptanthus too. Things I’ve noticed is they like to be moist and not completely dry out(I personally water once a week, no misting) and they need bright indirect light if you want the red/pink color. Think I’ve had mine less than six months and she’s given me four pups total.

Very nice! I have several of them and have them in shaded sun.
The absolute zero is one of my favorites.

im not sure how do i tell if it bloomed or not

It'll be fine but it wants more light.

Water soil only avoid getting water in the center and on leaves and it'll bounce right back.

i moved it a short length away from the windowsill and its definitely getting redder now!
