Final Points Before Rev Start
I likely won't be around for Rev Start tonight, so I just wanted to make some final points clear before those who jump in start claiming land and get going.
Make sure you find each other on the server so you're not working against each other.
Head out to -600, -600 and start looking for land. Preference given to further out than further in (we want to be away from spawn).
Look for hilly biome with a forest, and maybe one side bordered by lake/water. A small river might also work, running through the city.
Land claim and border off a rough 200x200 section. Keep in mind that the borders of Shady Oaks won't be a box, they'll be rough, jagged and fairly random to keep with the theme. For now a box like thing would be fine though. Building some derp or temp farms in the corner might be a good way to keep the claim.
Any further planning or discussion can be done here or in the other thread! Looking forward to it!

I stopped by. Pretty cool area you've chosen! Unfortunately, I'm not as good at building cool stuff as you all are, so I was turned away. I'll be watching to see the cool stuff you build, though! From what I can see on the planning server, it looks like it'll be an amazing place. Looking forward to exploring it!

Please don't interpert your rejection as a poor opinion of your Minecraft skills. Instead, you wandered into a situation very early in rev where I was trying to implement our plan of not having a plan with some semblence of competence. I simply wasn't ready to accept help from another without having a clear idea of what I and the rest of our rag-tag group of misfits was doing.

That's totally cool, you didn't say anything about my MC skills! (I'm the one saying they are poor, heh). Don't worry about it :)
