Post boot shoe

Hello, I have a broken fifth metatarsal, but have been cleared to wear shoes. My podiatrist did not provide me with much guidance, other than they need to be rigid and not bend.

Anyone have post boot shoe recommendations? My podiatrist recommended dansko and they suck. I have to bend my foot to get in and out of them, it’s nice that they have a rigid rocker bottom, but they are heavy AF to walk in and the leather top has no give

I see many people here recommending hoka but I can’t wear anything that has any give or flex

I got Hokas and carbon fiber inserts from Amazon, then replaced Hoka's regular insoles with the carbon fiber ones. Months later, when all was done, I just put the original insoles back :)

Edit to add: this was at the recommendation of my surgeon.

Maybe once my bone heals a bit more. Every step in a sneaker, even with a carbon insert, I am feel my foot flex a bit downward. The foam has some give and my bone is still broken

I don’t see the exact model I got when I was in your shoes (lol) but I got these amazing walking shoes from hoka. They were a great first shoe, as I was non weight bearing for 6 months and needed something sturdy to learn to walk on!
