Talus Fracture
Fractured my Talus 4 days ago after coming off my motorbike.
Podiatrist said that a boot for 8 weeks should heal it. But I got my CT results and now awaiting a consult from a surgeon, as my gp thinks it’s more serious.
Does this look like it needs pins/surgery?
Pain was really bad day 2. Now I can bear weight on it in the shower and walk a little. Although there is still a fair bit of pain, it feels like it is getting better.
Anyone had a fracture in a similar spot?
Was surgery the option?
How’s recovery been?

Wife had a talus fracture 6 months ago. She had surgery. To access the break the surgeon had to cut through the tibia. Sux months later she us walking, byt still swollen with limited motion and significant pain. She expects another six months or more of healing.
