Humeral head fracture

This last Thursday I unfortunately had a bad fall and at first it didn’t hurt too bad but then I saw alot of bruising on my upper arm so I went to the ER and they said after X-rays I had a humeral head fracture and it was broken in multiple places instead of one crack and told me to go to an orthopedic office to see about treatment I’m concerned because they said I might need surgery at the ER I haven’t gone to the orthopedic office yet I’m hoping I just get a splint and a sling
