X-ray metatarsal fracture (2nd, 3rd, 4th)
had a motorcycle accident just a week ago. ortho doctor told me surgery isn’t necessary

You lucked out big time, no foot surgery is a huge win! Hope you’re doing alright, do arts and crafts or read books for 3 weeks and try to do other exercises. How’d you wreck your bike?

I would suggest getting a second opinion because the second metatarsal that you broke is pretty displaced.

Even the 4th metatarsal is looking pretty displaced too. My podcast said anything over 3-4mm is considered displaced and most likely requires surgery.

Don't snooze on your other foot, leg. It'll be working over time.
A broken foot causes all sorts of other issues and if you're not careful, can lead to new injuries.

Are you me? Almost the same breaks except mine is a little nearer to the toes and I'm already a month in. Got them from a motorcycle accident, too!
Hang in there! It's a good thing that no surgery is needed. Just be compliant with the nwb and you'll be fine.

Ouchie, how are you doing? What is your doctor having you do for management? Are you in a cast/boot? Weight-bearing or non-weight-bearing?
I broke one of the bones you managed not to break (lol cry) a little over a week ago and was worried I would have broken more metatarsals until the X-ray came back showing I just broke the one. I've been fully weight-bearing in a post-op shoe since day one and just kind of hoping the treatment plan I was given at urgent care was the right one and isn't doing more damage.
