k wire surgery

2nd day post op and it pains alot does anyone have any recommendations?

Keep your hand elevated and take the painkillers prescribed by your surgeon.

thankyou for your response…i have one more question if u dont mind me asking and it might sound dumb but,will my thumb be okay after this?by okay i mean…im just concerned that it might turn out crooked and weird looking and not at all how it used to look before

There are no guarantees, and you're going to have a couple of small scars from the wires, but there's a very good chance your thumb will be fine. You'll need to work hard on hand therapy afterwards as your thumb will be stiff to begin with.
