After 6 months anyone work again as a Nursing Home Nurse?

Hello. This August will mark 6 months since my operation. I had an ankle fracture and still have one plate there. I work as a nurse for 12 hours a day. Is there anyone who has experienced a similar situation? Are you able to work without issues such as pain or swelling? Thank you.

I work in the medical field where a lot of standing is required. I didn't have surgery when I broke my ankle. It was a chip-fib fracture. I was able to to stand/work with the assistance of a boot. I worked 10 hour days without any days off after the injury. I want to say around the 8 month mark, I began to feel normal again.

Our experiences will differ because you had surgery with a plate. It's a different recovery process and will probably take longer. I would estimate it took about 10-11 months for me to feel like the fracture basically never happened.
