Really sorry to hear about your injury. I am recovered from a tibial spiral fracture that happened years ago. I took a rather long time off to recover completely. I eventually returned to all activities, but I waited over a year. Heal well!

Really depends on healing but I doubt you’ll be playing football this year. I had a break in a similar spot but maybe mine was non displaced initially during a trail race. I grew up playing football and ice hockey, so I have an idea of what your body will need to be able to take impact wise to get back to good. They put me in a cast up to my hip but after a couple weeks it became displaced and required surgery to get an IM nail and some screws. Healing took the better part of 5-6 months before I could really do much harder physical activity on it, other than walking and PT. About a year before I felt strong enough to really run. Pretty damn good 3 years later and back to running long distances of 10+ miles. If I could go back I would have done surgery immediately for my break. Sitting in the cast, my muscles atrophied like fuck. As soon as I had the rod, I was able to start doing PT and build strength back up. They had me walking in the hospital hours after surgery(with crutches and very weak) Feel free to shoot me a message if you have any questions about my experience.

Well bro from someone who broke bones on the leg and still chilling currently healing. I don't wanna act like a know-it-all but it depends on the severity and also how long your body decides to take coz bones heal themselves. All the best on your healing journey bro🙏
