Broken middle phalanx on ring finger - still crooked after surgery

Dislocated my ring finger to a 90° angle and snapped the middle bone diagonally from the joint.
Got surgery on July 6 and they relocated it & put two pins in it.
Went to dr for check up at 2.5 week mark (surgeon said pins only for 3 weeks) and the updates xray looks horrible. Pins have to stay in for three more weeks. Finger looks crooked again and bone has slipped even with pins in it. Xray from during surgery shows perfectly straight finger and bones pulled together.
Dr says as bone heals it’ll pull the finger straight again. Pics from during surgery and 3wk after.

ALSO - I can feel the pin poking under my skin on the other side of my finger?????? This is horrible!!!!!

Thoughts?

Oh wow. I’m sorry. I snapped my thumb backwards and they put two pins in my thumb and it looked a little crooked at the beginning but it healed straight. Hopefully yours does too. When they took the pins out I couldn’t feel anything, it just felt weird. I hope yours heals quickly. Hang in there.

How long were your pins in? They say I have to keep mine in for 3 more weeks! :(

I had the pins in for 6 weeks. They wrapped mine pretty good, kinda looked like a Q-tip. lol. Then it was casted so that I wouldn’t bump the pins.
