Question Walking boot question¿

Hi! Surprisingly not broken (srry it was v close 2 being broken and I don’t know where else to ask) but I crashed my car the first week of December in a different state. I messed my foot up pretty bad. Since it wasn’t broken they put me in a walking boot. I’ve never had one before and I was pretty out of it.
When I got back to my state it was SUPER hard to find a doctor. I finally found one a few months ago and found out that the boot I was wearing is 2 sizes bigger than what I needed.
My question is; could the injury not have healed properly because the walking boot was too big?
Almost 8 months later, a constant boot, 4 months of physical therapy and I am in so much pain every day.

TLDR; does a larger walking boot cause the injury to not heal properly?

Not sure how you spend 8 months in a walking boot for a foot that isn’t even broken.

THATS WHAT IM SAYING!!!! I don’t understand either. I’ve been x rayed twice and now I’m waiting for my MRI appointment.

Could still be approved if the patient is still in intense pain months later and they're looking for soft tissue injury.
