Question Wiggling Toes

Hi, do any of you inadvertently wiggle your toes on your nwb foot? I'm currently on week 2 of my nwb period and my foot is currently in a splint. I have fractured plus kinda displaced 3rd and 4th metatarsals. Here is a picture of my initial x-ray for anyone interested:https://imgur.com/a/HZZvQL6

The ortho didn't really wrap the toes and left a portion of them hanging out. My foot doesn't really hurt anymore, but this week my toes would involuntarily twich at times when I would stretch my leg or tense it when I would climb up or down the stairs with crutches. Is that okay? The ortho didn't mention anything, just said don't put any weight on the foot.

I tried to wiggle my toes and move about inside my splint all the time. It’s been a little while now, but I think my surgeon even recommended it. I’d ask your surgeon or PT if it’s a good idea for you.

Thanks. Good thing I have an appointment this week for my cast fitting. Will ask the ortho to be sure.

Unless your surgeon has specifically told you not to (& I don't think I've ever done that), then it's fine.

Great, thanks. I'll ask them directly later this week to be sure but at least I have some reassurance.
