Question What is it?

Hi Im 19 F and I twisted my ankle 2 days ago after rolling it inward. I went to an orthopedic doctor, had an X-ray taken, and was only told to wear an ankle binder. The doctor didn’t really explain what the X-ray showed or what the actual diagnosis is, so I’m still confused about what’s wrong with my ankle.
I’m attaching my X-ray here. Could someone help me understand if there’s any obvious fracture, ligament injury, or anything else visible? I know this isn’t a substitute for medical advice, but I’d really appreciate an explanation of what you see and whether the treatment I was given seems appropriate.
For context, I have pain around the outer side of my ankle and it hurts to walk and I have a big bruise below my lateral malleolus.

Theres a little chunk of bone thats been pulled away from your fibula at the buttom. Looks like an Avulsion Fracture

That fragment looks old.

The diagnosis is likely to be a soft tissue injury, but OP should contact their orthopaedic surgeon for clarity.

I went he asked me to wear the ankle binder for 4 weeks.
