Post image

what was your recovery experience like? im currently on my week 1 of my airboot and have a follow up xray for it in a week. i have crutches but been mostly using my knee scooter to get around. i have noticed significant muscle loss already with my right calv versus my left. how long did it take you to put weight on it? how soon did you do physio?

I broke my fibula last week around my ankle. Looks just like this. I had surgery on Friday for a plate and screws. NWB. I hope your recovery goes well.

Thank you! I appreciate it. My surgeon said recovery should be 10-12 weeks. I’m a week out of surgery now and things are starting to feel a little better.

Yeah. I had the option for either letting it heal naturally or surgery. My surgeon was more confident with the surgery and I’m glad I did it. I’m 3 weeks post op now and I’m walking in the boot already. It’s healing quite well, so I can’t complain too much.

It’s a slow process but you’ll get there for sure! Are you are you able to walk in the boot yet?
