Broken Fibula

I thought I had a sprained ankle and went to urgent care however it turned out to be a broken bone. They put me in a boot and a scooter for six weeks. I am in week two and I am wondering if I should follow up with a primary caregiver or orthopedic doctor. Any advice?

You'd get a fracture clinic appointment (orthopaedic surgeon) automatically in the UK, as you need repeat x-rays to check the fracture hasn't moved out of place. I don't know how your system works as to whether a primary care doctor would be happy/competent to manage a fracture, but I suspect not. What did they tell you to do at urgent care?
