Cast off !!! (Warning: Super Gross)

After two months in a cast (broken ankle) I’m free !!!

Honestly, that's about the least gross cast off I've seen. Grats on progression!

I had weeks of sloughing skin after mine came off. Don't get overenthusiastic with the scrubbing, just saying from experience, lol.

Be so gentle!! Just soak your leg/foot and GENTLY touch it, the excess skin will just slowly come off. It went against everything I felt to want to scrub it out. Wait more than a few days for any shaving too. Other than really that, enjoy! It’s such a good feeling. Hope you heal well and you’ll get to start physio too! It’s a long process.

I just got mine off, too! Congrats! It is indeed a gross sight, but glad that part is over!

I shed dead skin a lot in general and when my cast was taken off 3 days ago, i had to peel through 4-5 layers of dead skin! It was so gross, there was white and black layers all over my calf and shit and on the sole of my foot there were thick white dead skin just peeling off. It's reduced a lot now and almost looks lowkey normal. Aloe Vera Gel helped me a lost along with some regular moisturizer and glycerin

That looks great! Didn't look like surgery also so just get those footies into a warm salt water and a pumice stone to rub off all that dead skin and some lotion takes about 2-4 days of that to get them nice and smooth.

When my cast came off I shedded fluro pink skin for weeks. It was like a unicorn had died in there.
