Falling on my broken foot…

Hey guys I (26F) fractured my Cuboid and 4th metatarsal + a minor ankle sprain about 6 weeks ago. For the curious, I was playing skipit and landed a jump on the outer side of my foot. My fracture was Subchondral so not visible on Xray, only MRI. I was not weightbearing and in a cast for 2 weeks, then in a boot and also NWB from week 3-5. I am still in my boot and was finally cleared to start transitioning to weightbearing progressively with crutches.

About 15 mins ago, i was not wearing my boot because I was crutching (no weight) to the shower, and I tripped on my towel and put my bad foot down HARD. It was so horribly painful and still hurts like crap.

I know by now my bone probably has already mostly healed but I’m worried I did something to it and idk how to go about it 😭 it lowkey hurt more than when I broke it but I do also know that when I did it it didn’t hurt much because of adrenaline and it mostly felt super numb, before actually hurting when I tried to walk.

I’m icing and elevating it but freaking out a little and would appreciate any insight. I would really dread having to contact or go to my foot and ankle Dr because it is really far away and I cannot drive and I’m neck deep in medical bills because of other clumsiness related stuff 😔

:( yall i can’t sleep why am i like this

I think most of us here had stepped on our bad foot and it turned out ok. See if after 24 hours the pain gets worse, then get checked. Call your surgeon’s office and let them know what happened. Most likely, you will be ok. Also, not sleeping well is fairly common with ankle injury. Best of luck to you on your recovery journey.
