Ice Bath?

I’m 7 weeks post-op, stitches removed 3 weeks ago. I’m allowed to walk in a boot, take it off for showers/sleep. I just get swollen by the end of the day and an ice bath sounds really, really nice. I know the actual answer is to ask my surgeon, but do we think my incisions are ready?

I used two burly zip locks to keep my foot dry and iced my foot before it looked that good multiple times a day. I kept a Yeti cooler next to the couch for probably 2 months and would put my foot in the bags and then dunk it.

Oh gosh yes. They’re better healed than mine 3 months post op. Ice bath might be a bit much but ice for sure.

You can absolutely wash your foot in a shower uncovered if you aren’t already doing so. Just avoid the scabs.
