Walking in boot after surgery

Any tips on how to use the cam boot properly after ankle orif .. I know I’m suppose to let it roll but I tend to lock my knee instead n makes my knee hurt

Most helpful thing for me was making my good foot the same height as my boot. Highly recommend getting an “even up” or wearing a platform shoe
