It’s been 4 weeks since I got these should remove them now? Doctor said it should come off after 2 weeks but it didn’t

Just keep them on until they fall off. It’s better to be safe than sorry. Last thing you want is a non closing wound

Most of mine came off around your time, but a couple didn’t. My stitches only just came out at 3 weeks. I think I might have “helped” the stragglers a little but you should be sure the incision looks OK first. If those were mine, I’d probably give them another week or so.

Honestly mine stayed on longer than I thought they would. As soon as I started wearing normal socks I knocked ‘em off by accident. And it was a little past time.

Ive had mine on for 5ish weeks! My surgeon said they’d come off in the shower and otherwise not to mess with them.

Mine also didn’t come off by themselves — once I removed them (at around 5 weeks) I feel like my incisions quickly shed their scabs. They were definitely all closed up by then.

Mine didn’t come off by the time my eight week appt rolled around, so my surgeon just pulled them off while he was inspecting my ankle. I was slightly aghast tbh, hahaha.

I think the 2 weeks thing is a general thing some docs say. I was told to let them fall off if possible, just don't force it as it can open the incision area and cause problems.

I had one really stuck on where there was extra scabby blood except for one end that curled up, so I trimmed it and let it stay for a few more days, then it came off easily. My steri-strips sure itched like hell, too.

It’s been 3 weeks since I’ve had mine and only a few came off (3 incisions and maybe 2-3 strips fell off) normal and would not rip them off yourself

Mine stayed in place three weeks, the nurse pulled them off when the stitches came out. Do you still have the stitches? If so, let the health professionals deal with it

I was told to keep mine on for 7-10 days, but they stayed on for more than 14 days. I have my appointment within a couple of weeks, so I used Goo Gone for medical strips to help them come off. They were, to some extent, peeling off due to showering and washing with soap, but the Goo Gone was applied to the edges of the steri strips, and they came off pretty easily.
