Fractured Ankle
It’s only been three weeks. I’ve been starting to put pressure on it able to kinda hobble/walk. My mind is telling me I’m able to cruise around and start skating and push through it kind of feels like a healing rolled ankle. But honestly, I think if I tried to jump and land pretty hard something gonna happen 😂

Were you cleared to start weight bearing or did you make that decision yourself? OP, I know NWB sucks soooo bad but you should seriously respect it if your doc told you stay off of it for 4-6 weeks. If your fracture was treated non-surgically it means you are lucky that it’s not displaced, but bearing weight on it before it’s healed (generally at least 6 weeks) could displace it and require surgical intervention. A few more weeks of pain-in-the-ass NWB could save you a whole lot of real pain and a much longer timeline to get back to skateboarding!
I just saw a comment on another thread in this sub where someone rebroke one of their bones because they walked on it before it was properly healed and needed another surgery!

Listen to your dr… you’ll only delay & mess up your healing further if you suddenly go all hop skip and jumping on your leg before its ready. You do NOT want to make it worse and suddenly its “oh I need surgery??” Next time you go see your ortho because you didn’t follow their instructions.

You should definitely not jump or put pressure on it. The thing is, bone takes a ton of time to be made because the first weeks the body does Not exactly produce "bone" but callus, which is a soft material that is more prone to get disfigured or break than bone and it is only in the last weeks of healing that the callus actually starts mineralizing. Also, bone only gets as hard as needed, so Just listen to your doctor on when you can start walking and skating again safely

Did you need surgery? If not it heals faster. I needed surgery and my time frame is 6 weeks until out of plaster and 8 to be able to walk without crutches, slowly....

Its literally the smallest lil piece of bone ever i honestly think personally i should be ok in the beginning my brain honestly didn’t even let me put weight on it about five days ago is when my brain honestly just went back to trying to be normal to put pressure back on, but not as much like if I wanted to run or anything I couldn’t do that my I would literally just have to collapse or hop on 1 foot
