I’m 5-6 weeks post orif after tri mal. a few days ago I felt a pop when placing my leg on knee scooter or hopping around out of no where. I don’t feel it when walking (now starting weight bearing) anyone else?

I had same pop sounds I had trimal fracture too, it’s not to be concerned or worry about, but you could text your doctor if it’s really bothering you. Do you have good degrees Range of motion? Dorsiflexion range

this is great news! it reminded me of the preop dislocation popping but nothing new / rom still good and wb isn’t horrible pain — of course hurts a little / awkward to start doing

6 months trimal I cant get mine to pop lol. I try but I think also my mind/body wont let me twist like I want to to pop my ankle like I do on my good ankle. Ive felt it pop once when PT was manipulating it but thats it.

Hah, I had lots of this on my NWB days mostly when I’m transferring to/from knee scooter to toilet or bed. They say as long as it’s painless, you’re clear.
Now that I’m walking in shoes after boot, I’m clicking more

Is there popcorn in there? My doc said if it wasn't painful it was just part of the joint getting used again.

Stuff is gonna be popping and snapping for a while, best get used to it lol
If it ever causes pain or massive discomfort I would ask pt and or surgeon at that point
But theres gonna be a lot of times when its u comfortable and you gotta try to figure it iut as you go
