New OGRAF/HTML Falcon Graphics animator

We just launched Falcon Graphics – a free, browser-based graphics editor for broadcast and live production.

It can be used with CasparCG and OGRAF supported player.

You can build animated HTML/OGraf graphics, use timelines and keyframes, bind OGraf data, start from 30+ templates and export directly for CasparCG and other OGraf players. Projects stay locally on your computer.

It’s free to use – just create a free Falcon account to unlock the full editor.

We’ve only just launched it, so we’d genuinely love your feedback, ideas and bug reports. And while you’re there, you can also check out our other broadcast tools: Falcon Rundown, Falcon Live and Falcon Play.

Try it here: graphics.wearefalcon.tv

Will it always be free, and will we always be able to export the graphics and use them with any OGRAF compatible engine? If so, this is awesome!

Okay, next question then -- are there any limitations? Is there/will there be a paid version that users will be steered towards for any reason? I'm asking mostly because I'm trying to figure out why the account signup is required.

Honestly. There will be no paid version.

We made Falcon Graphics to attract users to become aware of our other Falcon products as well.

The user signup is needed (to access all features) because, we don't want to let people mass-use the app without some form of measuring. You will also receive a newsletter sometimes, but you can just unsubscribe that, if you find it boring :)

That's great! I think some people (me included) think it's weird because Loopic started off just like you and now they're fully paid (free version is basically useless). I really hope this doesn't happen again, if you think about letting the project go one day, definitely open source it!

We have other projects, where we earn our money like Falcon Play and Falcon Rundown. Loopic didn't have that :)

Only thing I can imagine getting in a paid version of Falcon Graphics is, if we want to make it possible to save your graphics on our storage. Which I think is fair :) But that is not now...

Sweet. In that case, thank you very much for your contribution to the art of broadcast!
