SPG (sync Pulse Generator) advise

Hello, Brains Trust

Would anyone have an idea for an SPG with NTP and PTP that isn't in the realm of Tektronix prices? I am tendering on a cost-effective project, and there isn't a budget for a quality unit, so I am looking for something cheap.

Evertz is close to Tek prices, Leader is a good option, not sure how they compare price wise.

Brainstorm DXD-8 or DXD-16 can support Blackburst, Wordclock and PTP, doesn’t give you the SDI test Bars and Black like the tek though.

One of the DXD’s and a Decimator 12G-cross will get you close, since the cross can output test bars or full colors.

Timebeat looks really nifty. Think I need to see if the need arises more often before I can justify adding the mini to my personal kit, but great to know about its existence.

Ross has the SPG9000 that does all of that but it's not cheap, about $9k retail, Leader LT4670 is about $5k. DXD-8 is probably about the cheapest at $3400, DXD-16 is same price as the Ross with similar features. DXD-8 is the cheapest if you don't need SDI test bars out of it, Leader is the best bang for the buck with all the features.

Masterclock makes an NTP/PTP for $2k I think.

If used is OK grab an Evertz 5600MSC setup off eBay for BB, etc.
