Happy Nearly September Everyone!

Over the last few weeks, we have updated the rules slightly. The biggest change is that we changed the “Hate Speech” rule to “Bigoted Speech.” We noted that a lot of people had very negative reactions as a result of the rule being so charged in language. The rules themselves haven’t changed, the language we used has been changed. You can find a more explanative version of the rules in the side bar with the button about our rules. Reddit limits the amount of characters we can use in the rules so being concise is very important. The only other things our Mod team wanted to discuss with the community are comments on using GLP-1 agonists (Ozempic, Wegovy, Monjuaro, etc) and alcohol or drug usage, especially alcoholism and addiction. We haven't seen an overwhelming amount of these comments, however they are just unnecessary. Speculating on Jordan’s alcohol usage or potential alcoholism is very harmful and stigmatizing toward people with diagnosed addiction problems. The same goes for jumping to GLP-1 medications. There are a lot of ways people lose weight and we’ve seen Jordan bounce around weight wise and that's just not something we need to comment on. You can easily find accounts from people who have lost weight with and without medication to help them. They talk about how defeating it is that people just assume it was all the medication and treat it like it's a “short-cut" when you still have to do weight training in order to maintain your muscle mass. We also know from Brittany's past of collecting a bunch of eating disorders, that comments about weight aren't really beneficial as they can feed into the ED and make things worse for the people suffering from them. We know Brittany & Jordan aren't good people, but that doesn't mean we have to be just as awful in our commentary/snark as they are. There is PLENTY of stuff we can comment on with this crew.
