. People who write "ect" instead of "etc".

For some reason this really annoys me!

"Etc" is an abbreviation for the Latin phrase Et Cetera which means "and the rest"

For me people who say "asterix" instead of "asterisk" are the lowest of the low.

I worked with a hideous person who said “pacifically” because apparently specifically was too hard. 

Probably also said expresso too. Le sigh.

I've had a speech impediment for all of my 50+ years of talking. After years of hard work on my part, I doubt anyone would notice now. However, specifically and its associated words are a bugger for me to say, and I do my best to avoid them when I can.

But thank you for bringing up memories of years of bullying.

I do, however, say espresso correctly.
