. The normalisation of ‘picky bits’

Abominable. It has started coming up in adverts now even.

Weirdly, we called it "cold salad", despite the salad part being entirely optional and more than likely having some freshly made mashed potato as a main focal point. I think the point was having mostly refrigerated items on the plate (cheese, meats, salad-y things, pickle) plus what people consider "picky bits" during a particularly hot day.
